Dr. Renee Shankar will move her practice to A Woman's Time in NW Portland on March 24th, 2023. We wish her the best in this transition.
Renée Shankar, DACM, LAc, compassionately delivers evidence-informed medicine in her holistic care for women’s health, fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum. She believes finding one’s true health is a profoundly unique process supported by multiple modalities and the inner wisdom of each individual. Renée facilitates healing by reflecting her patient’s values which can be a powerful guide toward discovering what is best for them. Renée knows this approach is integral in helping people thrive.
Using a blend of Acupuncture, bodywork, gua sha, cupping, moxibustion, herbal formulas, and relaxation techniques, Renée Shankar also supports a state of healing and allostasis. Allostasis is defined as maintaining stability through change and is a core philosophy of East Asian Medicine. Change is the one true constant in life, and Renée believes supporting the body’s innate ability to remain stable through change is essential to prevention.
Renée holds a doctorate in Acupuncture and East Asian Medicine focusing on Integrative Medicine. Currently, Renée is completing a mentorship program led by renowned Doctors Debra Betts and Claudia Citkovitz to provide Acupuncture to pregnant and postpartum patients. She is thrilled to bring this collective wisdom to Blossom Clinic.
When she is not practicing, researching, or studying East Asian medicine, Renée soaks up quality time with her family and friends, hiking, trying out new recipes, and exploring new parts of the Northwest. She is a proud mama and loves the simple moments of connection and wonderment her daughter embodies daily.
